4th of July in London

We spent the fourth of July in London. We stayed with Heather's relatives for a few days and then stayed in a hotel in downtown London for a few days. It was great. Emily and Kent went to watch Wicked; Heather and Madison watched the Lion King; and Heather went to Phantom alone. We went through Westminster Abbey, saw Big Ben and the London Bridge, the Tower of London, rode the London Eye, and generally had a great time driving around downtown London on the "wrong" side of the street. Here are a few pictures.

We are so glad you enjoyed London...it's a great city. We saw Wicked in NY and thought it was fabulous. Did you guys like it? I wish we all had "Popular" shirts!! Darn...
Tell Madison I love her new hair-do.

Okay, are you ready for this?! My sister recognized your picture from my blog and said she actually talked to Kent at the Tower of London gift shop! She and her husband are in charge of the study abroad in London for the summer and have their family there with them. She said she knew you must be American because of the shirts, and she struck up a conversation with Kent! I've actually told her about you and what a great friend you are, and she felt bad that she didn't even put two and two together! It really is a small world when your sister and friends are connecting in downtown London!!!

Okay, I'm totally not done yet. The world is getting smaller by the minute! Another connection - Jeff Cowart! He just left a message on our blog which he found through your blog. He is a good friend of Aaron's. They used to work together. I guess he grew up in the same hometown as Emily and is best friends with your brother, Jake! How funny is that?! He's in Aaron's uncle's ward in Oregon, too!! What a great guy. Wow! Just had to fill you in on that one, too! Hope you're doing great!

Okay, so I was wondering if I could apply for the nanny position? What an amazing experience you guys are having. Your trip to London looked so fun. I bet Madison loved Lion King! I can see her singing through the whole thing.
